I should have seen it coming, but I didn’t. I should have been prepared, but I wasn’t. They say it happens to lots of guys, which makes me feel a little better about it. Still, I wish it didn’t happen to me. I just can’t do it anymore… I’m out of space on my hard drive!
Heh! I’ve already managed to eat up 34Gb worth of space with downloads this week. Not a record by any means, but it puts me in the curios situation of needing to ration the remaining 3Gb. At least until tomorrow morning, when I can run out and pick up some blank CD-Rs, and start burning.
The movies I watched this week — for the first time — and that are now taking up precious space on my hard drive:
- 2 Fast 2 Furious
- 51st State
- Blow
- Catch Me If You Can
- DareDevil
- Equilibrium
- Friday After Next
- Next Friday
- Phone Booth
- Spiderman
- The Transporter
Plus a few others I’ve seen before; episodes of Friends, Futurama, Seinfeld; and 1000+ mp3s. Gotta love broadband.
Save the money on splindles of CD-Rs and pick up a 160GB drive for $100.

Thanks for pointing out that cracking good deal Andy, but it doesn’t look like CompUSA ship to Canada.
I’ll definitely be getting myself a nice BIG external drive one of these days though. A bunch of CDs should suffice until then, and the end of the month when my computers and other stuff from my US apartment arrives.

What about one of those dazzling DVD-RW drives that seem to be all the buzz at the moment?
And what are you doing, letting “Blow” and “Daredevil” take up hard drive space?!

Well Chris, the sheer capacity of the external drives makes a lot more sense when you consider that they cost about the same as the DVD writer alone.
As for those two questionable movies, well you never know when you might need to numb the heck out of someone else’s mind, or when you’ll need a videocap to deface ;)

Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much…the wheel, New York, wars, and so on, whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely the dolphins believed themselves to be more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons. by poker tables
