Dean Allen has released the first Textpattern beta. I’m glad it’s finally available, and I’d love to give you a rundown on it, but I haven’t tried it out yet. Like David, I too will be switching hosts in a couple of weeks, and I’d prefer to wait until then to fiddle with all the sort of details that switching content managing, or publishing, systems provokes.
Yes, TextPattern is a little bit bleeding, but I got it to work on the first run. It did not last long though, a “rm -rf” did the rest. I will wait until is out of beta and some documentation is available.
Good luck with the switch. I replied to your email about my current provider, which does not ceases to amaze me, honestly. Barely a week with them, but boy… are they good or what?
